On of my favorite things in Tasks is disappearing tasks. For example, on your Buy Milk task, you can add a checkered flag emoji and the word delete and it will delete after you check it off. Like this:
- [ ] buy milk 🏁 delete
If you are on Windows, you should be able to get to your emojis with WindowsKey + . (That is windows key + dot)
This works with recurring tasks too. For example, a birthday reminder. Once you check it off, it will disappear and create one for next year. I have a note called Recurring Tasks where I keep these. That would look something like this:
- [ ] Jenny's birthday 🔁 every February on the 8th 🏁 delete 📅 2026-02-08
